I have been an enthusiastic rock climber, caver and hillwalker since about 1975, and have worked professionally in the outdoors since 1982.

Currently I spend much time underground in caves and mines and quite a lot of time in the Scottish mountains on the Munro quest.

I work part time at Glaramara Hotel and Outdoor Adventures in the Lake District.

I hold professional instructional qualifications in Mountaineering (Mountain Instructor Award MIA) and Caving (Caving Instructor Certificate including Mines CIC)
